Davis 6466M – Rainfall

Description

The rain gauge with AeroCone™ accurately measures the amount of rainfall using a self-emptying tipping bucket.
It has a reed switch that closes each time the weight of the accumulated water causes the bucket to tip, which produces a pulse that can be recorded by a datalogger or pulse counter.
The instrument features an aerodynamic cone that increases accuracy in high wind conditions, and is specially designed to meet the guidelines set by the World Meteorological Organisation (WMO). It includes a 12 metre long cable, a filter with a fixing system to prevent it from falling down or being displaced by the wind and a base with a mast mounting bracket.
